Time is a strange phenomenon. The seconds, minutes and hours tick by, all at supposed regular intervals; but some hours and moments seem much longer than others. It's just one of life‘s enduring mysteries and enigmas. At work, for example, the minute hand seems to always be stubbornly stuck in place. It's always 3.15pm, never 5.00pm. And the minute hand seems to go on strike especially when you're at the doctors or say in 'rush hour' traffic - which of course never rushes. Minutes seem like hours and hours seem like days - that is except of course when you're on holiday, and then a whole week seems to flash by in what seems like seconds. Time, it would seem, cheats you out of the moments you want to savour, and always makes the unwanted ones linger for far longer than they‘re worth. And it would be fair to say that 2009 has been a year that seems to have sped by in a frenzy. And 2010 is beginning to ebb away slowly but surely.Time would also seem to gather apace, the more mature that you become.
