Self-catering barn conversion in the Snowdonia National Park sleeping 4 to 6 persons
with 2 bedrooms,2 shower rooms, oak panelled fully equipped kitchen, TV, playstation and broadband computer Details

Time is a strange phenomenon. The seconds, minutes and hours tick by, all at supposed regular intervals; but some hours and moments seem much longer than others. It's just one of life‘s enduring mysteries and enigmas.

At work, for example, the minute hand seems to always be stubbornly stuck in place. It's always 3.15pm, never 5.00pm. And the minute hand seems to go on strike especially when you're at the doctors or say in 'rush hour' traffic - which of course never rushes.

Minutes seem like hours and hours seem like days - that is except of course when you're on holiday, and then a whole week seems to flash by in what seems like seconds. Time, it would seem, cheats you out of the moments you want to savour, and always makes the unwanted ones linger for far longer than they‘re worth.

And it would be fair to say that 2009 has been a year that seems to have sped by in a frenzy. And 2010 is beginning to ebb away slowly but surely.Time would also seem to gather apace, the more mature that you become.

However, if you want to confound your senses, and take a welcome escape to the country next year, then why not reserve a place at our bright and cosy holiday cottage which is located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Time is guaranteed to fly by, but you're assured a superb holiday that you'll always want to remember.

WELCOME TO GLYN YR AUR....

As owners of recently renovated barn conversion,
Glyn-yr-Aur, we'd very much like to invite you to come and sample the delights of our particular corner of the Snowdonia National Park.

We reside more specifically in the Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park where our 127 acres merge seamlessly in to the park's 9000 acres of forests, valleys, mountains and hill pastures.

With breath-taking mountain views, a myriad of trails, forests, vales and unparalleled sunsets, our self-catering holiday let has something to offer every kind of holiday-maker - at very competitive rates.

For families, friends, walkers and mountain-bikers, Glyn-yr-Aur has it all. For those seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday there is the seclusion and tranquillity of the mountain walkways and shaded forest trails, where few people can be found even in the height of summer.

For those who want a more 'high octane' experience, there are the twists, turns, loops and climbs of the "Beast", "Dragons Back" and other mountain bike routes which are rated very highly by many in the cycling world.

Whether it's spending lazy days picnicking by the shores of our river or travelling further afield to marvel at legendary mountain Cader Idris, or to take in the beach at Barmouth, we're sure that all the ingredients for a perfect break can be found here - whatever the time of year.

Check through this website to find out more about our cottage, our facilities and the surrounding area. We very much look forward to welcoming you soon.
