Not an obvious lot of progress but a considerable effort has gone into rendering the walls with damp proofed coats. The Building Regs guys have commissioned a report from their structural engineers who are now questioning the load on the beam. What load!!!

This has absolutely nothing to do with the building project. After many hints I went and swept our chimney and knocked the cowl off.
